Parenting Workshops
Parenting is the toughest job you will ever LOVE! BETA Center is
your partner in parenting, providing education and support to thousands
of Central Florida parents. "We teach our children, but who
teaches us?" "Everything is so different from when our
parent raised us", is a commonly expressed concern by parents
today. Central Florida is a mobile and transient community. Families
moving into Greater Orlando face the additional stress of moving
away from their extended families and support network.
BETA Center's Parenting Workshops provide a supportive forum for
education and discussion. Our information is research-based, with
trained clinical professionals facilitating the sessions. BETA Center
provides these one to two hours workshops in convenient neighborhood
locations throughout Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties. Armed
with new information, tips and support, parents feel better about
themselves, and are more successful in meeting their children's
needs - whatever they may be.
Over 30 different workshops provide information about the various
ages and stages as your children grow. Click here
for a complete listing and descriptions of WORKSHOPS.
Parent & Child Workshops: P.L.A.Y.Shops
"PLAY is a child's WORK." This means that children learn
and experience the world through play. By playing children will
learn to socialize, problem solve and to share. As well as, develop
reading and logic skills, spatial relationships, communication skills,
language skills and so much more promoting school readiness. PLAY
is how we give our children the world and build their brain power.
By stimulating the five senses with physical experiences, parents
can actually help their baby build brain connections. Click here
for Building Baby's
Brain Power book.
At BETA Center we offer parents an opportunity to interact with
their child through developmentally stimulating play. P.L.A.Y.Shops,
Preschool Learning Activities for Youngsters, are hands on, interactive
adventures for parents and children 0 - 5 years old. This exciting
opportunity mixes socialization with skill development. The added
benefit is that parents get to develop or strengthen their network
of support.
