Helping children and parents grow together includes providing support
to parents as their family moves through the difficult transition
of divorce. Our 4 hour "Families & Divorce: Helping Children
Cope" interactive workshop meets all requirements set forth
by the State of Florida for parents to complete prior to a divorce
being granted. This workshop offers information for divorcing and
separating couples on the most effective ways parents can deal with
the stress of separation, and decrease the negative impact on their
children. Divorce itself does not scar a child's life
it is
how parents deal with divorce that affects their children. Highly
qualified, clinically degreed professionals offer the information
and support every parent deserves.
We help you strengthen the family unit by focusing on:
Effects of divorce on children.
How to head off problems before they start.
What to expect from your children during divorce.
How to co-parent effectively.
Normal feelings of grief.
Skills that will help the family cope with loss, stress
and change.
Effective skills for communicating with your children.
Step-parenting challenges.
BETA Center cares deeply about the future of our children. When
parents cope better, so do children. The long-term negative effects
of divorce can be minimized by how parents deal with divorce. "Families
& Divorce: Helping Children Cope" is an interactive program
designed to help parents understand the needs of their children
during the transition of divorce. For the past 12 years, all who
take this workshop agree that they want their children to be both
physically and mentally healthy during and after the divorce. BETA
Center uses Certified Parent Educator to guide parents
through interactive discussions, role-playing exercises and informational
charts to help them sharpen their coping skills. A great workbook
is included in the workshop fee. Relationships and responsibilities
with the family may change, but children still have a mother and
a father. Our workshop enables parents and their children to deal
with the impact of divorce in a way that is helpful to all family
members.
